Migori: Elderly Man Hospitalized Following Altercation with Daughter-In-Law
In Migori, a man in his seventies is currently receiving medical attention for injuries sustained during a physical altercation with his daughter-in-law over grazing land.
According to Kajulu Two Chief Charles Onindo, both individuals suffered deep lacerations as a result of the incident.
"Upon receiving notification from concerned members of the public, I arrived at the scene located in Onge'nga area," Onindo said
According to reports, the 24-year-old woman allegedly led her cattle to graze on the septuagenarian's farm without his authorization.
The septuagenarian, known solely as Auko, launched an assault on the woman utilizing a panga. However, she swiftly retaliated by hacking him on the hand.
"The matter remains under scrutiny and appropriate measures will be taken," added the chief.
Currently, the elderly gentleman is still receiving medical attention due to injuries sustained during his altercation with his daughter-in-law.
Officials have urged community members to explore more effective means of resolving conflicts.
"I intend to convene a gathering with the family subsequent to the elderly gentleman's release, in order to facilitate reconciliation between the parties," stated Onindo.
