A Brief Look into the Toyota Supra MK4

In 1978, Toyota Motor Corporation launched the Toyota Supra a sports car and grand tourer. From 1993 to 2002, the Toyota Supra MK4 was available with two types of engines, the naturally aspirated 2JZ-GE 3.0 litre straight 6 with 220 horsepower and the 2JZ-GTE 3.0 litre twin-turbocharged straight 6 with 280 horsepower.

Currently, the 2JZ-series offers a high-performance twin-turbo 3.0 litre straight 6 petrol engine of 1998cc that produces up to 320 horsepower and a torque of around 440 Nm with a top speed of up to 277 Km/h. This car goes from 0 Km/h to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds.

Modifications of the 2JZ have made it achieve 3000 horsepower and transit from 0 Km/h to 370 Km/h in 6 seconds. The Toyota Supra MK4 is a great choice for drag races, drifting and general thrill cruising due to its high-performance engine, streamlined body and low COG.
